Both the Mayans and Incas believed that was a race of giant on the earth before the great floods. As transcribed in a 1907 book of the myths of
the Inca’s, the legend of Viracocha mentions not only a great race of giants, but also a great deluge (flood). The ancient Greeks also believed in a race of great giants. The old testament tells the tale of Goliath. According to the Bible, David slayed the giant and went on to become a great king.
Deuteronomy speaks of Og’s kingdom in Bashan, he was the last of the Rephiam, or in Hebrew– giants. Deuteronomy 3:11 describes his bed: “Only Og king of Bashan was left of the remnant of the Rephaites. His bed was made of iron and was more than thirteen feet long and six feet wide.”
